Already uneasy, Vicki pulled up to find the seller waiting at the door with unexpected news, the china was in a back room and he was in a wheelchair and couldn't carry it out to her.
He suggested she come inside to retrieve it herself...... it took her multiple trips to carry several boxes out.
Vicki went to pick up her purchase by herself. Although her common sense was telling her that she should not go inside this house, her desire for the china kept her moving forward trip after trip into a stranger's home, hoping nothing went wrong.
Everything went smoothly that day. But it could have taken a very different turn. Sadly, stories of countless robberies and murders tied to peer-to-peer meetups are all too common.
